The Irish Financial Reporting Conference 2017
The Irish Financial Reporting Conference 2017
30 March 2017
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin Airport
The implementation of FRS 102 in 2016 was a challenge. For many it is still a challenge. New accounting policies, new accounting treatments, cashflows in for everyone, the transition requirements and most importantly just getting financial statements produced in the correct format. Even small entities that did not have substantial transition adjustments took time to get the accounts right.
The new financial reporting framework was a steep learning curve and it cost time and money to get it right.
More Changes for 2017
On the back of Companies Act 2014 and FRS 102 now we are faced with more changes for 2017.
- The small entities regime and S.1A of FRS 102
- The micro entities regime and FRS 105
- The Companies Accounting Bill 2016
- Transitioning from the August 2014 version of FRS102 to the September 2015 version, S.1A of FRS102 and FRS 105
- Transition from the FRSSE to S.1A of FRS102 and FRS 105
More change. More learning. More time. More irrecoverable cost producing accounts. More headaches and stress.
