As you are a subscriber to the FRS102.com Premium Toolkit, I am delighted to announce the launch of our Financial Reporting Bootcamp. Your annual subscription gives you access to the 6 Webinar Bootcamp Series, at no additional cost.

This webinar series is designed as an interactive event with the final 10 minutes dedicated to questions and answers. We will be sending you a link to a survey which you can complete at any stage during the series to submit questions.

Don’t worry if you can’t make all the webinars. We will be recording each webinar, and within 24 hours they will be published in the FRS102.com members area, including the video and supporting documents.

If you have any questions or if you wish to cancel your registration for any reason, please email [email protected].

Financial Reporting Uncertainty

The implementation of FRS 102 in 2016 was a challenge. For many it is still a challenge. New accounting policies, new accounting treatments, cashflows in for everyone, the transition requirements and most importantly just getting financial statements produced in the correct format. Even small entities that did not have substantial transition adjustments took time to get the accounts right.

The new financial reporting framework was a steep learning curve and it cost time and money to get it right.

More Changes for 2017

On the back of Companies Act 2014 and FRS 102 now we are faced with more changes for 2017.

  • The small entities regime and S.1A of FRS 102
  • The micro entities regime and FRS 105
  • The Companies Accounting Bill 2016
  • Transitioning from the August 2014 version of FRS102 to the September 2015 version, S.1A of FRS102 and FRS 105
  • Transition from the FRSSE to S.1A of FRS102 and FRS 105

More change. More learning. More time. More irrecoverable cost producing accounts. More headaches and stress.

The Solution

What is the solution for you to avoid some of the headaches and cost?

Thankfully the upheaval this year should not be as painful as last year, but you still need to know what’s what and now you will be working across three different regimes simultaneously so we need to be able to move between them and understand how the financial statements look for FRS102, S.1A and FRS 105. To do that we need to cut through the theory of the standards and get everybody in the office fully up to speed with what our accounts, as our primary product should look like.

We have developed a 6 Session Financial Reporting Bootcamp to help you do just that.

The Financial Reporting Bootcamp

Our interactive 75 minute webinar session is running during March and April 2017 and it will bring you and your team through the key changes and the core concepts. You will be given the opportunity to submit questions in advance of each session and you will have the opportunity to ask questions live in the webinar. We will be preparing the key topics based on the lessons we have learned in the last 12 months and based on our extensive interaction with the accountancy profession on the core challenge areas. With 25 minutes of each webinar dedicate to Questions and Answers we will be able to tailor the training so you individual needs are met.

Why this Bootcamp?

We ran an equivalent Bootcamp Series last year and based on the feedback on that experiment we have decided to ramp up our webinar offering this year and we will be delivering over 50 webinars between now and Christmas. Why are we doing that?

The accounts loved our interactive webinars. They loved the fact that they could learn at their desk and just build their working day around it. They loved that it didn’t cost them a day to get CPD. The really loved the fact that they could freely ask questions. This year we have gone a step further  and we have developed a system that allows multiple feeds which will combine powerpoint slides, live review of material and doing white board live examples and scenarios. Sometimes it’s hard to pay attention in webinars when you are just looking at slides on a screen and a voice coming in over your speakers. In the past you may have felt a disconnect from the person who was actually giving the presentation. We have solved this problem and will have a live camera stream so you can see the presenters and connect with them even though you are still sitting at your desk.

What do you get in the Bootcamp?

As well as the all-important 9 hours CPD, you will also get valuable handouts and material in the form of financial statements, checklists, guidance documents and practical examples so that you can apply this in your firm and make sure your Financial Statements are being presented as they should be across the entire financial reporting framework.

Don’t worry if there is the odd session that you miss because of other commitments; we will capture them all for you so you can access them at any time during the year through FRS102.com.
